**We’re Hiring a Barbecue Catering Chef! (Barrie)**
Looking for an experienced Catering Chef to join our NBCo. team. We're in need of a hands-on kitchen manager to be the head of barbecue operations and the team lead. Don't worry if you don't have any experience with big smokers... we'll teach you everything you need to know about cooking on wood-fired pits and pumping out the most legit Texas style barbecue around. NBCo. is the original and authority on craft barbecue in Simcoe County... it's all we do. We do everything from weddings and parties to corporate and big-time events — we need someone who knows how to bring the flavour and keep the good vibes going.
Here’s the deal:
- Summer Season June - Oct (potential to roll through to December)
- Thursdays/Fridays (prep) + Saturdays (on-site)
- $40/hr when on-site & $25/hr kitchen prep
- Free reign to manage and implement you're own procedures in our kitchen
- Manage on-site events including food station, service and be the point person on-site
We're Looking For:
- Proven experience working with food and high level production
- Knowledge of recipe techniques, butchery and proper food handling
- Oversee menu, ingredient and barbecue prep/production
- G licenced driver
- Clean, organized, and professional — but fun to be around
- Bonus points if you’ve catered or lead a kitchen before
