Position summary:
The Banquet Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages during all events (banquets, weddings, corporate functions and private events) .
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet and engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently.
- Serve beverages in a timely and professional manner to guests.
- Set up bar areas according to the requirements of the Event Sales Coordinator.
- Clean bar area after each event, returning items to proper storage.
- Ensure bar is stocked with appropriate drinks , glassware and supplies.
- Communicate effectively with banquet servers, supervisors and kitchen staff.
- Ensure all safety regulations/procedures are implemented and followed.
- Ensure adherence to company policy and provincial regulations.
- Monitor stock levels during events and restock as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance throughout each shift
Job Type: Part-time
The wage for this position is $17.20/hour. The position could require the employee to work 15-30 hours per week.
The starting date to train for this position will be effective immediately. The applicant must be available to work day time and evening hours (24-7) and for scheduling on weekday and weekend shifts. All staff are required to work on the following holiday functions: Easter Sunday, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving Sunday, Christmas Day, New Years Eve.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year bartending experience, preferably in banquet or high-volume settings.
- Must be flexible to work days, evenings and weekends and holidays.
- Smart serve certification is required.
- Must be polite, courteous, and respectful.
- Knowledge of drink mixing and bar safety.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work as a team or independently
- Must have reliable transportation. We are not on bus route
Physical Requirements:
- 80% Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
- Ability to move furniture unassisted and lift 25+ lbs.
- Must be able to work over flexible hours including, mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays
