ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for closing the restaurant to Virtuous Pie standards.
- Ensure prepared food meets our standards
- Support the team to deliver high quality dishes
- Effectively and efficiently communicate with guests, partners, and management.
- Work collaboratively with BOH leadership, GM and chef to complete required duties
- Work collaboratively with FOH teams to ensure smooth services
- Fill out daily manager log.
- Coordinate and delegate daily/weekly tasks with team to ensure productive workflow.
- Have a firm knowledge of our food menus and recipes
- Anticipating and resolving problems that may arise while on shift.
- Foster productive teamwork while encouraging the team to be themselves and have fun while doing the work
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 1+ years in a back of the house role
- Personal alignment with Virtuous Pie’s vision, values, and team culture is considered a serious asset.
- You’re eager to move into more advanced leadership in hospitality
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Able to focus, switch-task, and reset in a dynamic environment
- Passion for delivering outstanding dishes and some creativity is an asset
- Ability to work in fast-paced and inter-functional team environments.
- High standard for professionalism and attention to detail.
- Eager to create positive and long-lasting relationships
- Must be able to stand/work on your feet for 8-hour shifts.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to use ladders and step stools safely.
- You have availability that includes evenings and weekends, this is non-negotiable for this role.
- You are able to commute to and from work in a timely manner, and late at night. We close at 10pm, and closing up can take between 30-90 minutes.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS (please inquire if you don’t currently have these)
- First Aid Level 1
- Food Safe Level 1
BENEFITS
Salary of $20 per hour to start
Equal tip out, ranging from $6-$8 per hour
