Position Summary

Position Title: AZ Shunt driver / Cross dock worker

Location: Oshawa, ON

Duration: Full-time: Monday to Thursday 2:00 pm to 12:30 am


Description:

The primary role is to operate a Forklift, loading and unloading refrigerated commodities. Responsibilities include safely loading and unloading cargo, securing loads for transportation, and putting delivery bills together for driver routes. You will also be responsible for moving trailers in and out of the dock with a shunt tractor.


Responsibilities:

  • Load and Unload daily trailer loads of refrigerated goods
  • Put paperwork together for drivers to complete runs next day
  • Shunt trailers in and out of doors and set refer temperature accurately

  • Document all inbound/outbound shipment paperwork accurately
  • Dispatch drivers their trailer numbers and help them when required
  • Ensure all paperwork is accurately completed
  • Other tasks assigned

Requirements: (Change as needed)

  • Experience moving trailers with a shunt truck. Valid AZ License required.
  • Flexibility in working night shifts
  • Ability to lift approximately 35 Kilograms
  • Clean CVOR, abstract and satisfactory background check
  • Forklift Certification
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent self-management and organizations skills
