Skyview General Contracting Ltd., a medium sized civil construction company, is looking for an AZ float driver with 10 years’ experience operating a tri-axle dump truck, roll-off, low boy and tag along trailers. The ideal candidate will be capable of working with minimal supervision and be willing to work together with other crew members to resolve issues safely and efficiently. Additionally, he or she should be familiar with construction industry safety standards and procedures to ensure team members safety.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience – tri-axle dump truck and float operator
- Experience with roll off, low boy and tag along trailers.
- Valid AZ driver’s license.
- Clean abstract and CVOR to be provided.
- Good safety and driving record.
- High school or equivalent
- Strong English communication skills
- Good physical mobility
Primary Responsibilities:
- Float various types of construction equipment and materials to and from the job site.
- Responsible for loading, balancing, securing, chaining and tarping material and equipment in a safe and manner to ensure all safety measures are met.
- Pick up and drop off of bins at various job sites via roll-off system.
- Safe operation of tri-axle dump truck for aggregate and excavation waste
- Complete pre-trip / circle check inspections and corresponding paperwork
- Perform mandatory circle checks on trucks before driving to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
- Ensure all equipment has proper safety equipment in place.
Job Type: Full-time – 6am to 5pm - Monday to Friday
