Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Prepper to prepare vehicles for painting and refinishing. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that surfaces are properly prepared, contributing to the overall quality of our repair services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Surface Preparation: Sand, mask, and prime vehicles to ensure smooth and flawless surfaces for painting.
- Inspection: Examine vehicles for imperfections, scratches, or dents that require repair.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the paint team to ensure proper color matching and application techniques.
- Maintenance: Keep the work area clean and organized, adhering to safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Tool Proficiency: Utilize various tools and equipment effectively for auto body preparation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as an auto body prepper or in a similar role within the automotive collision repair industry.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify imperfections in surfaces.
- Proficient in using tools required for auto body preparation, including spray guns and sanding equipment.
- Knowledge of painting techniques and surface preparation methods.
