Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Civil Litigation Associate Lawyer with a strong interest and background in personal injury law to join our growing legal team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing a diverse caseload, including motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall claims, and other complex personal injury matters.
In this role, you will work closely with senior counsel, conduct legal research, draft pleadings and motions, attend examinations for discovery, mediations, pre-trials, and trials, as well as manage client relationships with professionalism and empathy. You will be expected to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities
- Represent clients in court proceedings and during negotiations
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Prepare for trials by organizing evidence and developing case strategies
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and gather information
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to strengthen case outcomes
- Utilize tools such as LexisNexis for case law research and documentation
- Maintain accurate records of case progress and client interactions
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school or LLB from a Common Law jurisdiction.
- In Good Standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- 1–5 years of experience in civil litigation (personal injury experience preferred).
- Proven experience in litigation with a strong track record of successful outcomes
- Proficiency in legal research tools, particularly LexisNexis
- Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients
- Strong writing skills demonstrated through previous legal drafting experience
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment
