The Role
We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Associate Director / Director of Product to lead Fig’s product strategy, execution, and team development. Reporting to the Head of Product, this senior leadership role will play a critical part in shaping the company’s overall direction and long-term success. You will work closely with executives and cross-functional partners to ensure our lending infrastructure, customer-facing products, and strategic partnerships scale effectively, efficiently, and sustainably.
You will lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives and be directly accountable for delivering measurable outcomes aligned with Fig’s business goals. This is an exciting opportunity to drive meaningful change at a fast-growing, mission-driven fintech company.
What you’ll do
- Product Leadership
- Own and evolve the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Fig’s core lending infrastructure, including loan origination flows, Loan Origination System (LOS), auxiliary products, and future product lines.
- Manage a Product Manager, providing coaching, mentorship, and professional development.
- Ensure strong alignment between product initiatives and Fig’s strategic priorities.
- Execution & Delivery
- Translate business objectives into clear, actionable product plans with well-defined outcomes.
- Drive disciplined product execution, ensuring a balance between short-term delivery and long-term scalability.
- Build and scale product development processes that foster speed, quality, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Credit, Fraud, CX, Partnerships, Marketing, Compliance, and external partners to deliver impactful solutions.
- Build relationships with key external partners and vendors to identify new opportunities and improve integrations.
- Data-Driven Decision Making
- Set and track product success metrics; proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
- Use quantitative and qualitative insights to guide prioritization and optimize performance.
What you bring
- Experience: 7+ years in product management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role managing other PMs.
- Proven track record in scaling products in fintech, lending, or highly regulated industries.
- Strong background working closely with engineering and design in an agile environment.
- Demonstrated ability to take products from concept to launch to scale.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort navigating ambiguity and balancing multiple priorities.
- High degree of customer empathy and passion for solving meaningful problems.
- Experience with loan origination/loan management systems is a plus.
