Are you passionate about driving new engagement growth opportunities and building strategic connections that support community-focused teaching and research? Join us as the Associate Director, Business Collision at the University of Regina and be a catalyst for building meaningful relationships with alumni, Leaders Council, advisory boards, and other stakeholders to support strategic priorities that enhance institutional reputation.

As the Associate Director, Business Collision, you will develop and sustain a deep understanding of the Schools’ strategic direction, strong understanding of the Schools’ teaching and research portfolios, strong connections to the business community, a strong ability to nurture relationships with the business community and to establish and customize engagement opportunities, and the ability to design and implement initiatives that create sustained value for both the University and its partners.

What You’ll Do:
  • Drive new growth opportunities: expand the Schools’ footprint in the community, and building strategic connections that support teaching, research, and reputation.
    • Develop deep knowledge of the Schools’ strategy, research, teaching, and extracurricular activities
    • Establish comprehensive knowledge of Schools’ key industry supporters and potential partners
    • Identify and develop new engagement opportunities
    • Lead business development strategies and report annual KPIs to the Dean
    • Design, lead, and manage execute executive education and consulting projects involving faculty and students
    • Cultivate partnerships with community and industry to support teaching and research collaboration
    • Represent the Schools externally, attending events and acting as a key ambassador to the Saskatchewan business community
    • Collaborate with GATE and other related centres to build inter- and intra-university partnerships
    • Support student competition preparation when external stakeholders are involved as coaches or judges
    • Consult regularly with the Dean to align partnership and development strategy with School goals
  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships: spearhead relationships with alumni, Leaders Council, advisory boards, and other internal/external stakeholders to support strategic priorities and enhance institutional reputation.
    • Lead engagement strategy for Leaders Council and advisory boards, with MARC events team support
    • Serve as the primary liaison for Executives in Residence
    • Oversee CRM and stakeholder data management, in collaboration with University Advancement
    • Lead the design and implementation of alumni and Leaders Council surveys (in partnership with Strategic Projects)
    • Leverage stakeholder expertise and networks to benefit the Schools and students
    • Strengthen long-term connections with council/board/alumni through reciprocal relationship building
    • Communicate impact and contributions of stakeholders for internal and external reporting, including AACSB
    • Stay informed of internal research, projects, and initiatives to create alignment and engagement opportunities
    • Lead and mentor student and post-grad interns working on engagement initiatives
    • Work with teams within the Schools to align stakeholder engagement with resources and priorities
    • Support the Dean on stakeholder-related strategic initiatives

Position Requirements
What You’ll Bring to this Position:
  • A relevant undergraduate degree in business administration, management, or a related field
  • 5-7 years of demonstrated experience in business development, strategic planning, and stakeholder management
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Understanding of strategic planning processes, business development strategies, and market analysis techniques.
  • Awareness and understanding of current trends and developments in relevant industries and markets.
  • Skills in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, alumni, and community members.
  • Deep knowledge of the Schools’ academic programs, research initiatives, and extracurricular activities.
  • Expertise in planning, executing, and monitoring projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Understanding of budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation.
Physical Demands Pay Grade APT 6 Salary Range $77,127 - $104,063 annually (as of July 1, 2025) Status Term Work Hours
Monday to Friday 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
Some travel within province and country may be required.
