Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Manager to oversee daily operations in our automotive repair facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in automotive repair, ensuring that our team delivers high-quality service while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. As the Shop Manager, you will lead a team of mechanics, manage shop activities, and ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery.
Duties
- Supervise daily shop operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and efficient workflow.
- Manage and train a team of mechanics, providing guidance on automotive repairs and use of tools.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering parts and maintaining stock levels.
- Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure quality standards are met.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Assist with heavy lifting and mechanical tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive repair or as a mechanic is required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Familiarity with dealership operations is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.

Pay: $17.69-$38.51 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 44 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
