Store Manager
We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager to join our Banff team. Reporting to the Store Manager, this role supports the day-to-day operations of the store, ensures an exceptional guest experience, and leads the team in delivering on Alberta Boot Company’s commitment to craftsmanship, authenticity, and western heritage. The Assistant Store Manager acts as a culture carrier – supporting the Store Manager in driving sales, developing staff, and ensuring operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience & Sales
· Deliver a warm, authentic, and knowledgeable experience to every guest.
· Support the team in achieving sales targets through strong product knowledge, storytelling, and customer engagement.
· Ensure the Alberta Boot legacy and heritage are embedded in every interaction.
Leadership & Team Development
· Assist in hiring, onboarding, training, and coaching team members.
· Provide daily leadership on the floor and model exceptional service and teamwork.
· Motivate and inspire staff to uphold Alberta Boot values of authenticity, resilience, and craftsmanship.
Operations & Standards
· Support in managing store operations including scheduling, inventory, visual merchandising, and reporting.
· Ensure operational compliance with company policies and procedures.
· Maintain Alberta Boot’s visual and cultural standards on the sales floor.
Community & Brand
· Represent Alberta Boot’s brand with pride in Banff’s unique retail environment.
· Foster menaingful connections with both local customers and international visitors.
· Contribute to storytelling and brand presence in the community.
Qualifications & Skills
· 2+ years of leadership experience in retail, prefereably in footwear, apparel, or lifestyle brands.
· Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer experiences and drive sales results.
· Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Experience training, coaching, and motivating retail staff.
· Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in a tourism driven environment.
