Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant General Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for the restaurant industry.
Duties
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including staff supervision and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Oversee food preparation processes to maintain quality standards.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to enhance performance and promote a positive work environment.
- Manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Utilize POS systems for efficient transaction processing and reporting.
- Conduct interviews for new staff members, contributing to the hiring process.
- Collaborate with the General Manager on budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with POS systems and their functionalities.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience in team management and supervising staff.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming dining experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in interviewing potential candidates is a plus.
