We are seeking a highly resourceful and results driven Assistant Manager to support our operational relationship administration and pre-processing departments. This incumbent will be responsible for day-to-day operations as well as playing a key role in driving efficiency and implementing updated workflows across departments. The candidate will work directly with the Senior Manager to identify inefficiencies, propose solutions, and help implement sustainable process improvements.

Responsibilities
Apart from the standard management responsibilities of providing leadership, managing volumes, coaching staff, annual performances, etc. The Assistant Manager will also be expected to,
  • Analyze current departmental workflows and identify areas of inefficiency, redundancy, or outdated practices.
  • Partner with department heads and team members to understand pain points and requirements for process improvements.
  • Develop, document, and implement new processes that modernize operations and increase productivity.
  • Track and report on KPIs related to process improvements and operational efficiency.
  • Lead or assist in change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions to new ways of working.
  • Introduce or improve use of technology tools to streamline operations.
  • Support training and communication initiatives to onboard staff into improved processes.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in operations, process improvement, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and a proactive mindset with the ability to identify and implement innovative solutions to modernize workflows, often with limited resources.
  • Takes ownership of tasks and outcomes, recognizing and avoiding a blame mindset, while ensuring timely execution of deliverables.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to lead discussions and build consensus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze data, create reports, and support process improvement initiatives.
  • Highly adaptable and comfortable with change.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or business administration is an asset.
  • Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages.
