Job Title: Asphalt Paving Personnel
Location: Slave Lake, Alberta
Job Type: Full-Time
Paveit Construction Inc is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Asphalt Paving Personnel. This position demands the ability to take responsibility to safely execute the work in a prompt and efficient manner. Working with the Paving crew, one must be a team player and work well with others. We offer a competitive wage (based on experience) and a full benefit package. Extensive asphalt experience is preferred (1-3 years). This position will begin immediately as our paving season has begun. Work is based out of Slave Lake, Alberta and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities:
· Perform asphalt paving tasks, including laying, leveling, and compacting materials.
· Operate and maintain construction equipment associated with paving activities (training provided if necessary).
· Shovelling Asphalt.
· Running Skidsteer.
· Raking.
· Assist with site preparation, cleanup, and quality control to ensure projects meet industry standards.
· Communicate and listen to Paving Foreman in all day to day work.
· Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
· Work overtime and weekends as required to meet project deadlines.
· Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures, adhere to all company policies and provincial regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
· Inform the Safety Manager of all incidents, accidents, near misses and safety infractions, participate in safety tool box talks, implement safety into all tasks related, ensure proper use of PPE working conditions.
Working Conditions are as follows:
· Days, evenings and weekends (extended work hours with overtime will be required)
· Must be able to work in all weather conditions (following the safety guidelines within the company’s weather condition policies)
· Must be able to talk and stand for long periods.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in asphalt paving or construction is an asset but not mandatory—training available for suitable candidates.
· Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
· Ability to follow safety protocols and guidelines.
· Strong team player with excellent communication skills, problem solving and time management capabilities.
