O’Hanlon Paving, a proud member of The Fath Group of Companies, has been a key player in the Edmonton, road construction industry for over 65 years. We are currently looking for an experienced and safety conscious Asphalt Plant Grounds Person to work seasonally in a full-time capacity at our Acheson, AB plant. The successful candidate must be able to align with the company's core values: Commitment, Attitude and Respect.
Responsibilities:
- Assist co-workers with operating equipment as well as some plant work
- Operating equipment in a safe manner following transportation driving laws
- Cleaning of all scales, garbage, housekeeping around fuel tanks (willing to use a shovel)
- Ensuring all signage is intact around the plant/yard
- When required, assist with directing traffic, greasing and washing of equipment & trucks and maintenance on various plants in yard i.e., KMA, asphalt and cement
Qualifications:
- Some experience working in a construction company as a labourer will be an asset
- Some experience with small construction equipment such as bobcats, skid steers, loaders will be required
- Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license
- Minimum High School education or equivalent
- Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure
- High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to use smart phones and testing features
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends

- This is a seasonal position and is eligible for over-time
