POSITION SUMMARY:
MasTec Canada is currently recruiting for an Apprentice and Journeyman Pipefitters to join its Industrial Division in support of building pumping stations near Lac la Biche, Alberta. This is a two (2) month camp based role, on a rotation schedule, with an immediate start.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- First Aid
- H2S Alive
- CSO
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for promoting and living out MasTec Canada’s 6 Core Values
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license is required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Safety Tickets
- Ability to identify and report hazards
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
- Effective attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules
