Position Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Animal Care Expert (ACE) to join our team at Bosley’s at Terra Nova! If you love animals and have hands-on experience in the pet industry, we want to hear from you. As an ACE, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and promoting the well-being of pets through your knowledge of retail and grooming services.
Important Requirements:
- Experience in the pet industry is a must
- Experience with pet grooming is preferred — including tasks such as trimming nails for both dogs and cats, and giving dogs a bath at our wash station
Key Duties:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting the right pet products and services
- Provide expert advice on animal care products and grooming services
- Groom pets, including trimming nails, giving baths, and using our dedicated bath wash station
- Handle transactions accurately using the POS system
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
- Upsell related pet products to enhance the customer experience
- Answer phone calls professionally and assist with inquiries
- Collaborate with team members to meet store goals
- Stay current on pet care and grooming trends
Qualifications:
- Completion of Secondary School (or equivalent)
- At least 6 months of experience in a pet store or animal care environment
- Grooming experience is preferred (nail trims, bathing, etc.)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- POS system and cash handling experience preferred
- Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays
- Passion for animal care and providing exceptional customer experiences
What You Bring:
- Previous retail or customer service experience
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills
- Working knowledge of POS systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively
- Ability to work scheduled shifts reliably, including weekends and holidays
- Reliable transportation to and from the store
- A genuine passion for helping pets and pet parents

- 4-hour and 8-hour shifts
- Morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend availability required
