Job Description

Join CPP Investments as an Analyst in our Early Investor Program, a full-time opportunity designed for exceptional new graduates to launch their careers at a leading global investment organization.

You will be placed directly into one team within Capital Markets & Factor Investing, Credit Investments, Private Equity, or Total Fund Management, contributing to meaningful investment initiatives from the start. You’ll participate in CPP Investments’ LAUNCH onboarding and Wall Street Prep training, where you will build a solid foundation in investment strategies, technical skills, and analytical frameworks. This is complemented by hands-on experience and mentorship from senior investors, allowing you to develop deep expertise while navigating complex opportunities in your asset class.

While anchored in one team, you’ll benefit from our collaborative and interconnected platform, gaining exposure to diverse perspectives through firm-wide initiatives, shared learning opportunities, and cross-departmental connections. This combination develops both specialized expertise and a broad understanding of how capital is deployed across global markets.

We foster a culture that encourages curiosity, inclusion, and continuous learning. As an Analyst, you’ll have access to employee resource groups, early-career mentorship, and online learning tools, all within a supportive environment that values your contributions and individuality.

Overview of Participating Departments

Each investment department offers a distinct path to expertise, career growth, and impact. You will join one team, gain deep asset-class knowledge, and work on high-impact projects with early responsibility and exceptional mentorship.

Capital Markets & Factor Investing - External Portfolio Management; Manages a global portfolio of externally managed and systematic strategies, including hedge funds, across asset classes. Analysts work closely with portfolio managers to evaluate external managers, design mandates, and monitor performance, helping to build diversified portfolios that capture differentiated returns and drive long-term performance.

Credit Investments - Asset Management; Delivers capital solutions across the credit spectrum, combining return potential with disciplined risk management. Analysts are involved in monitoring and managing existing credit investments across sectors and regions, assessing borrower performance, credit quality, and market conditions to ensure portfolios remain well positioned.

Private Equity - Funds; Invests in leading private equity managers in North America and Europe through multi-year fund commitments and minority direct investments (“co-investments”) alongside our private equity fund partners. Analysts evaluate fund managers ability to generate returns, review co-investment opportunities, and build relationships that provide insight into the broader private equity landscape.

Total Fund Management – Portfolio Implementation Research; drives research and execution that shape enterprise-level portfolio construction and allocation. Analysts design, test, and implement strategies that manage risk, optimize exposures, and support the Fund’s Balancing process - developing insights that strengthen resilience and long-term performance across all asset classes.

  • Supporting the investment process by providing insights, analysis, and recommendations that inform how we deploy capital around the world.
  • Collaborating with your team to prepare investment reviews, industry and market overviews, and written investment rationales.
  • Exploring opportunities across global markets to identify and assess new areas for investment.
  • Applying statistical and qualitative analysis to strengthen investment decisions and portfolio performance.
  • Researching and reporting on macroeconomic trends that influence markets and investment strategies.
  • Engaging directly with external management teams, industry experts, and other investors to gain insights and inform your analysis.
