Job Description:
As an Aluminum & Display Fabricator at IAC, you will play a crucial role in building and assembling custom display solutions for industries such as trade shows, retail, corporate interiors, and TV & film. This role requires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of materials and assembly processes, particularly with SEG extrusions, aluminum frameworks, and LED lighting integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to assemble display structures.
- Assemble SEG (Silicone Edge Graphics) frames, including integration of UL-certified LED lighting for backlit displays.
- Fabricate custom frameworks and structures using materials such as aluminum extrusions, tubular structures, and fabric.
- Handle LED setup, wiring, and troubleshooting to ensure lighting functionality and compliance with UL standards.
- Operate and maintain fabrication tools and machinery, ensuring that safety protocols are followed.
- Conduct quality checks to verify precision and accuracy of assembly, and make adjustments as needed to ensure high standards.
- Collaborate with the design, prepress, and production teams to troubleshoot design or assembly challenges.
- Assist with prototype builds, providing feedback on design feasibility and assembly efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing methods to enhance production quality, speed, and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace, and properly store materials and tools after each use.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in fabrication, carpentry, or a related field, preferably in display or signage production.
- Knowledge of LED installation, wiring, and UL safety standards is required.
- Proficiency with fabrication tools and a strong understanding of materials like aluminum, fabric, and lighting components.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to quality and precision.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, able to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to lift and handle materials safely, and to work well in a team environment.
