Position: Morning Production Supervisor
Job Scope:
As a Morning Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient bakery operations by overseeing production areas, monitoring workflow, and guiding staff. You will collaborate closely with the Production Manager and team members to maintain high productivity, quality standards, and safety protocols. Your leadership will set the tone for a positive, efficient, and results-driven work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by example, supervising and motivating the team through regular communication, hands-on demonstrations, and proactive on-the-job training.
- Ensure production targets and efficiency levels are met while maintaining high product quality.
- Monitor day-to-day production operations, troubleshooting issues to maintain productivity and quality standards.
- Support quality control processes to ensure that products consistently meet company specifications and standards.
- Oversee the coordination and scheduling of production tasks, ensuring smooth workflow across shifts and departments.
- Manage material requisitions and ensure the availability of necessary supplies to meet production needs.
- Train staff on job functions, safety procedures, and company policies to maintain compliance and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Previous supervisory experience in a production or food manufacturing environment is a must.
- Proven experience working with cakes, pastries, and dough-making techniques, with a strong understanding of slicing, filling, decorating and other pastry related expertise.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in pastry arts or production management are a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff and management.
- Basic computer proficiency for tasks such as data entry and inventory management.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $58,000.00 per year
