Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the incumbent will perform duties in support of research projects affiliated with the Cardiovascular Imaging Network at Queens (CINQ) and provide clinical administrative and research support to the PI within the Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine. Administrative responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, general admin duties, including booking appointments, scheduling, record keeping, and other clerical related work. Research responsibilities will include research administrative tasks, such as keeping track of training records, scheduling meetings, taking minutes, screening patients for studies, data entry, and maintenance of records.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform basic administrative services, such as scheduling, making appointments, setting up workshops, and keeping records. Prepare or, if routine, initiate correspondence, notes and memos.
· Scheduling integration of research and clinical activities.
· Assist in data collection functions (screening, interviews).
· Perform basic data processing, including data entry.
· Write reports related to research studies.
· Prepare power point presentations.
· Set up and monitor zoom meetings.
· Undertake other activities as delegated in support of the Research Program, ie. Patient recruitment, screening, demographics, follow-up data collection through phone call interviews.
· Attend group meetings and maintain meeting minutes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor of Science degree or university degree in a related health sciences field.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
· Website development/maintenance skills considered an asset.
· Organizational skills to ensure efficient running of the office.
· Ability to prioritize work and problem solve.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, physicians and allied health professionals.
· Prioritize work and time.
· Decide how to distribute information, what method to use, and who to send it to.
· Determine formatting for simple to complex documents.
· Respond to general enquiries, providing reasonable answers, or a means to find an answer if necessary.
Working Hours:
Tuesdays: Required to be on site between 10:30am and 2pm
Thursdays: Required to be on site between 10:30am and 2pm
Preference for other days are mornings (3.5 hours per day).
Additional Details:
Location is within the hospital, proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required.
