WEISHAUPT DESIGN GROUP is a North American-based furniture retailer, manufacturer, and distributor engaged in both residential and contract markets, offering classic-contemporary designs with timeless style and enduring quality.
We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist. Reporting to the Associate Director of Finance, the successful candidate will be a highly motivated, confident self-starter, able to multi-task in a very fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The candidate must also possess strong people skills and the ability to communicate professionally and courteously with business contacts and co-workers. The role also requires and offers insight to accounting and month-end close related activities.
Responsibilities:
- Posting of all AP invoices, payments, and expenditures across multiple currencies and regional entities
- Process vendor and employee expense payments in both the ERP and banking systems including cheques, wire transfer, and other electronic payments
- Process month end accruals related to accounts payable
- Reconciliation, accruals and timely payment of Corporate Credit Cards
- Reconciliation of and communication around vendor statements
- Preparing weekly/monthly Accounts Payable reports and other schedules as required
Processing refunds, commissions, referral fees and other
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience working in a similar Accounts Payable role
- Previous experience with supporting month-end close, accounting entries and managing foreign currencies
- Previous experience with ERP systems, SAP B1 an asset
Microsoft Excel proficiency – ability to create highly accurate spreadsheets and pivot tables
- Excellent English language skills
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar is required
