Position Summary
The Account Marketing Manager will lead strategic marketing and communication initiatives within Canada’s defense sector aligned to the DND Strategic Account Plan objectives. This role involves developing and executing integrated marketing & customer engagement strategies and campaigns, in collaboration with the North American Communications, Marketing and Government Relations teams. This position will enhance Thales brand awareness, promote Thales’ defense and security capabilities, products and solutions to the defense customer in Canada (DND) through execution of regular customer events, campaigns, tradeshows etc. across all domains (i.e. Land, Maritime, Air, Cyber/Digital).
Key Areas of Responsibility
Responsibilities include:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive MARCOMM plans aligned with the organization’s goals and Canada’s defense priorities.
- Marketing Campaigns: Plan, execute, and measure the effectiveness of campaigns across digital, print, and social media platforms to engage target audiences.
- Content Creation: Leveraging Thales assets, oversee the creation of high-quality marketing materials such as brochures, newsletters, presentations, website content, and social media posts while adhering to brand guidelines.
- Customer Engagement: Responsible to plan and execute customer events including but not limited to dedicated customer demonstrations, thought leadership opportunities, event sponsorships, trade shows, industry events to promote Thales’ capabilities aligned to the growth plan.
- Thought Leadership: In collaboration with relevant stakeholders, support the execution of Thought Leadership campaigns, including executive messaging and content.
- Compliance: Ensure all MARCOMM efforts comply with Thales’ policy and coordinate approvals as required. Work cross functionally with the Marketing, Communications & Government Relations teams in NORAM and with global Business Line and Global Business Unit function.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study and/or an equivalent level of experience.
- 5+ Prior experience working in Canada’s defense, security and innovation sectors in a marketing and/or communications role.
- Demonstrated experience working with the Government of Canada.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing corporate strategies in a complex organizational environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the development and execution of marketing and/or marketing-communication plans.
- Advanced proficiency with digital marketing tools or platforms, proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint and an ability to aggregate, manipulate and interpret disparate sources of data into clear and concise executive messaging.

The reference Total Target Compensation(TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between
Total Target Cash (TTC): 74,862.68 - 100,063.50 - 127,316.25 CAD AnnualThis reflects how companies in a similar industry and geographic region generally pay for similar jobs. This range helps the Company make pay decisions as one data point among many. Where a position falls within this range is also dependent on other factors including – but not limited to – the employee’s career path history, competencies, skills, and performance, as well as the company’s annual salary budget, the customer’s program requirements, and the company’s internal equity.
