We are searching for a driven Account Manager to join our Calgary Sales team and grow accounts and hunt for new business. As a natural communicator, this Account Manager will be strategic and resourceful in their approach, with the ability to align customer needs with BGE’s value-driven solutions. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, persistent, and curious. They are ready to own their territory and make an impact, while also valuing collaboration and being part of a supportive team environment.
The day-to-day activities of our Account Manager will include:
- Outside Sales: Seek out and maintain accounts within the territory through business development and a strong understanding of BGE products, services, and their long-term value to customers.
- Relationship & Account Management: Build and manage relationships with both existing and potential customers. Understand their operations, identify pain points, and propose meaningful, cost-effective solutions.
- Internal Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (Marketing, Customer Service, Product Development, etc.) to share customer insights, improve service delivery, and support business growth initiatives.
- Strategic Target Achievement: Develop and independently execute strategic account plans to attain sales quotas and revenue and margin targets.
- Site Airchecks and Inspections: Conduct walkthroughs, participate in customer operations meetings, and provide recommendations based on real-time site observations and data.
- 3+ years of experience in a relevant customer-facing role such as sales, building operations, or facilities/property management.
- Proven track record of self-directed work and goal achievement, particularly in developing new business or managing a territory.
- Experience crafting and executing plans to grow account value and market presence.
- Background in HVAC, mechanical systems, or technical environments is an asset but not required. We provide product training and onboarding support if you’re new to the industry.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to various stakeholders.
- Natural curiosity and a desire to understand the "why" behind customer needs.
- Strong drive for achievement and a comfort level working autonomously.
- Ability to synthesize information and provide consultative, value-based solutions.
- A collaborative spirit and eagerness to work with others to solve problems and share knowledge.
