This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto (250 Yonge St, Toronto) and/or Client office at a minimum 3 days per week - subject to change at any time.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Accessibility Tester to ensure our digital banking platforms meet accessibility standards and provide inclusive experiences for all users. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with accessibility testing tools and a strong understanding of compliance frameworks such as WCAG 2.1, AODA, and ADA.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Conduct accessibility testing on websites, mobile applications, and digital banking platforms.
- Validate usability for individuals with disabilities using assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, and screen magnifiers.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and business analysts to identify accessibility gaps and recommend remediation strategies.
- Create detailed defect reports, track issues, and validate fixes to ensure alignment with accessibility standards.
- Participate in accessibility audits, reviews, and user testing sessions with diverse user groups.
- Stay up to date with evolving accessibility laws, tools, and best practices to support continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to teams on accessibility best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Proven experience in accessibility testing for digital platforms.
- Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1, AODA, and ADA compliance standards.
- Hands-on experience with assistive technologies and accessibility testing tools.
- Familiarity with Agile development environments and collaboration tools.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
- Wealth Management or Banking domain experience is a strong advantage.
