RAPS is Seeking a weekend community Support worker to assist an individual with Autism (E24)
Location Sherwood Park
Days/Hours: Friday 6:30pm-10:30pm
_ Saturday 7:00am-3:30pm _
_ Sunday 10:00am-4:00pm _
Job Description: Duties include but are not limited to: Supporting a client with their entrepreneur endeavors with their local farmers market (this includes set up/tear down of materials and display, customer interactions, and sale payment processing), Personal care (Showering, oral care, AM & PM routines), Medication reminders, meal consumption monitoring, transportation to and from market, and support and management of anxiety and frustration.
Qualifications: the successful candidate must have an updated criminal record check containing the Vulnerable sector check portion, a class 5 driver’s license and vehicle with a clean drivers abstract for client transportation. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is considered an asset.
- The ideal candidate will have a love of animals and video games and an understanding of sensory sensitivities and coping strategies
Rate of Pay: $22.00 hour
