WAREHOUSE MANAGER
Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
Equipment Responsibilities:
· Maintains, monitors and tracks equipment leaving the warehouse using company software.
· Routinely, investigates and completes repairs and maintenance of equipment. Records the equipment’s performance throughout the product lifetime and makes recommendations for alternatives as needed. Has equipment calibrated if required to manufacturers specifications.
· Manages equipment inventory and purchases tools and equipment as needed.
· Stages equipment for emergency staff pick-up. Delivers equipment as required.
· Stages equipment and materials into trailers for staff traveling to northern jobsites.
· Participates in the equipment evaluation process to determine cost and required needs for expansion of equipment inventory.
Safety Responsibilities:
· Worker Co-chair of Workplace Health and Safety Committee.
· Coordinates updating of vehicle safety manuals, warehouse SDS’s, and inspection of all first aid kits/fire extinguishers.
· Identifies and rectifies if warehouse/fleet/equipment hazards are present.
· Ensures Company, Health and COR Safety Policies and Procedures are being followed.
. Prepares COR Audit
. Complete worksite inspections
. New employee safety training and orientation
. Maintain safety records and materials.
Warehouse Responsibilities:
· Ensures warehouse is properly maintained, stocked, functional and clean. Includes: Carpenters area, paint shop, equipment staging area, material staging area.
· Issues purchase orders in accordance with company policy and the accounting system.
· Uses computer programs such as MS Office, Internet Explorer, and related company software.
· Maintains inventory of all stocked materials and equipment.
· Ensures that all insurance content is labelled and stored properly.
· Backup assistance to the emergency department at times of influx of emergency claims.
· Perform periodic facility inspections, develop preventative maintenance schedules.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Exercise good interpersonal skills by assisting other departments to accomplish tasks of the organization, even if it is outside the scope of regular duties.
· Ensures proper training and handling of equipment and tools are provided to staff.
· Mentor and leader to subordinates.
Fleet Responsibilities:
· Maintains, monitors and tracks fleet electronically using dispatch board and log sheets of trailers and vehicles assigned to staff.
· Reviews employees vehicle inspection forms daily, ensures all emergency vehicles are fully supplied and in working order at all times.
· Maintains electronic database of fleet repairs (per unit).
Additional duties as required.
Requirements:
· The role requires at least 3 years of construction and/or warehouse experience.
· Must be able to work Monday through Friday, overtime, and able to travel for out-of-town work as determined by business necessity.
· Must have a valid Manitoba drivers’ license and able to provide criminal background check along with a child abuse and adult abuse registry check, as well as a driver’s abstract.
- Must be able to drive a forklift.
- Must be able to drive a skid steer.
· Practical knowledge and safe operation of enclosed trailers, equipment, and power tools.
- Must be able to pull a trailer, this includes to work site, the dump and supply pick up.
· Must be detailed oriented.
· Must be computer literate.
· Positive and professional attitude.
· Ability to work unsupervised, and in a team environment.
· Must be physically fit, lift equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs), able to stand on your feet for extended periods of time.
· CSA steel toe footwear and headwear must be worn at all times when on job sites or in the warehouse.
