Job Overview
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Warehouse and logistics Coordinator position is responsible for ensuring customer orders are delivered on time and in full in the most optimal conditions. This role will organize and monitor the storage, and distribution of products, ensuring optimum efficiency and productivity. They will also oversee the maintenance of warehouse facility, equipment and delivery vehicles. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams and external liaisons to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction. The duties and responsibilities for this position will evolve over time as the situation changes with respect to products and services offered by Koppert Canada.
Position Competencies
· Monitor and track shipments to prevent delay in deliveries inbound and outbound.
· Handle and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner; provide solutions to prevent issues from reoccurring.
· Plan and schedule warehouse activities and deliveries to meet demand and avoid unexpected labour costs
· Maintain inventory thresholds on products and warehouse supplies to prevent delay in deliveries
· Provide recommendations for continuous improvement and cost reduction
Summary of Functions
Logistics- Freight In/Out
- Track and monitor shipments (inbound and outbound) for delivery on time and in full
- Submit claims with suppliers and transport companies and follow up on investigation of shipments
- Communicate delays to customers and sales representatives
- Organize picking/packing slips, and release* sales orders to assembly line
- Assist with order picking and packing when required
- Address customer inquiries and issues surrounding delivery quickly and amicably; working with TQM to analyze, evaluate and resolve customer concerns surrounding logistics and quality issues
- Assure cold chain and quality during transportation (Processing data loggers, updating seasonal shipping/packing procedures to provide suitable protection of products during transport).
- Analyze product distribution plan and routes and update to ensure routes are efficient and cost-effective
- Coordinate transport and customs clearance for seasonal QUAD deliveries inbound and outbound
Warehouse Management
- Plan and organize staff schedules; monitor and approve timesheets
- Ensure warehouse and logistics personnel are well informed and have clear working instructions
- Assist with development of SOP’s; implement and train staff on procedures and protocols
- Oversee maintenance at location; office, warehouse, equipment and delivery vehicles
- Ensure Warehouse complies with Federal and Provincial Workplace Health and Safety regulations.
- Investigate and update Transportation guidelines for various pesticides
Inventory Management
- Ensure adequate inventory levels are kept for all shipping materials and saleable items that carry an extended shelf life.
- Receive and or oversee receipt of inventory in to ERP system
- Ensure inventory cycle counts are completed within deadlines
- Analyze inventory to ensure accuracy; resolve discrepancies between ERP and physical count
- Post inventory transactions in ERP (stock transfers, bills of materials, counting journals)
- Plan and organize container shipments

Successful candidates in the Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator position must demonstrate and obtain:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse and logistics coordination
- Plan and organize staff schedules; monitor and approve timesheets
- Ensure warehouse and logistics personnel are well informed and have clear working instructions
- Assist with development of SOP’s; implement and train staff on procedures and protocols
- Oversee maintenance at location; office, warehouse, equipment and delivery vehicles
- Ensure Warehouse complies with Federal and Provincial Workplace Health and Safety regulations.
- Investigate and update Transportation guidelines for various pesticides
- Able to lift up to 40lbs (18kgs)
Technology Competencies
· Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
· Microsoft 365 or other ERP experience
· Obtain reports using SQL reporting tools and PowerBI
Supervisory Competencies
· Train and lead a high performing warehouse and logistics team that embraces KCAN and KBV core values
· Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff
· Conduct Performance Evaluations of all warehouse and delivery staff

Work Environment
What you can expect
· Ability to work Sunday to Thursday, including 90% of all Statutory holidays
· Highly collaborative role with high level of interaction with cross-functional departments.
· Must be able to adapt and work efficiently under pressure.
· Adaptability and willingness to work flexible hours as required.
· Able to physically endure outdoor or indoor climates including hot or cold extremes, with regular exposure to cool storage room and pollinators (bumblebees) in warehouse.
· Some travel may be required on occasion for training purposes or team events
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
