YOUR ROLE AT MIRATERRA

This is an unparalleled opportunity to leverage your expertise to scale a disruptive technology and contribute to a mission-critical cause. As a hands-on leader with a proven track record of success in early-stage environments, you will build a globally scalable commercial engine, driving significant revenue growth and strategic partnerships, resulting in measurable benefits to farmers, agronomists and retailers. You will be responsible for commercial strategy, driving revenue growth across multiple markets from initial prospecting through to customer acquisition and retention, and will also have a strong influence on product strategy. You will do this by using your commercial expertise and by building and leading a high-performing, mission-aligned team.


WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

You will report directly to the CEO and will be a key member of the Leadership Team.


IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

  • Own Revenue Growth: Design and execute strategies to meet sales targets, optimizing deal size, sales cycle length, and renewal/retention.
  • Build the Commercial Engine: Hire, motivate, and manage high-performing sales and marketing teams across regions. Inspire channel/partner contributions.
  • Establish Product-Market Fit & Launch Execution: Drive commercial success as Miraterra fulfills our vision of being the trusted, full-stack platform that provides essential soil, food, and climate intelligence, enabling action for a resilient planet.
  • Partnership Development: Secure strategic channel, lab, CPG, ag retail, and NGO partnerships domestically and internationally (including in Global South markets).
  • Lead Marketing: Ensure strong brand recognition and a full business development funnel by leading strategy and execution for research, brand, digital presence, thought leadership, event strategy and campaigns. Manage customer acquisition cost and LTV ratio by segment.
  • Product Influence: Collaborate closely with product development to provide market insights, customer feedback, and contribute to the product roadmap to ensure market fit and drive revenue.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Own pipeline, revenue forecasting, KPIs, and board updates.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 10+ years in progressive commercial leadership (sales, marketing, growth), ideally in agriculture, agtech, ag retail, climate tech, or science‑driven tech industries
  • Track record selling and scaling B2B2C/disruptive platforms, with expertise in enterprise and channel sales
  • Expertise in commercializing technical/digital products across markets
  • Demonstrated ability to build high-performance teams, navigate ambiguity, and operate in fast-growth, mission-driven environments

WE VALUE, BUT DON’T REQUIRE

  • Background in diagnostics or measurement technologies
  • Operational exposure in the Global South
  • Leadership experience in an early-stage startup

  • Flexible / Remote (Preference for Vancouver, BC or Canadian agricultural centres)
