Burford Veterinary Hospital (BVH) is a well-established small animal practice with trusted service in the community. Burford Veterinary Clinic is the sister clinic to Colborne Veterinary Clinic in Simcoe, ON. At BVH, are committed to building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional patient care.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, caring, and friendly individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills to join our positively motivated and welcoming team. Our focus is on providing outstanding care to the beloved pets of our dedicated and engaged clients.
Previous experience in a veterinary clinic and familiarity with AVIMARK software is an asset. Our team members are highly valued, and we are dedicated to maintaining a positive, enjoyable, and team-oriented work environment. Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets with a friendly demeanor upon arrival.
- Manage appointment scheduling and confirm upcoming visits.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, prescriptions, procedures, and pet care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up to date.
- Process payments and handle billing inquiries efficiently.
- Assist veterinary staff with laboratory tasks and other services as needed.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for clients.
- Provide information on pet health care products and services offered at the clinic.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the facility.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in veterinary technology or related fields is preferred.
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Compassionate approach towards animals and their owners.
