South Peel Veterinary Hospital is a privately-owned progressive practice with a long and trusted history. We are family-owned and have been an integral part of Mississauga for over 50 years. Our pet-centred practice sees dogs, cats, rabbits and pocket pets.
Our RVTs work alongside our 2 full-time doctors and 2 part-time veterinarians. You will get to make full use of your RVT skills during anaesthesia, surgery, dentistry, radiology and lab work, as well as assisting our doctors when needed. We have in-house lab equipment, surgical laser, digital x-rays, digital dental x-rays and ultrasound to help provide the high level of care we give to our patients.

Responsibilities
- drawing blood and placing catheters
- preparation of patients for surgery, induction and monitoring of anaesthesia during surgery
- post surgical monitoring of patients
- taking digital x-rays
- perform laboratory tests as needed with in-house equipment
- administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarians
- educate clients on pet care including puppies and kittens, diet, medication administration and other questions which they might have
- taking digital dental x-rays and assisting with dental procedures
- assist veterinarians as needed
Qualifications
- registered veterinary technician
- experience is preferred, however we are happy to train the right new graduate. Our senior RVT is experienced working with students and would look forward to training and mentoring a new grad
- warm, friendly and enjoy working as a member of the team, good sense of humour
- can work independently as required
Hospital Hours:
- 8 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday, 8 am to 12:30 pm Saturday
- closed on Sundays and statutory holidays

Work Location: In person
