Based out of our Calgary Plant, the Truck Washer is responsible for washing all company vehicles, trailers, containers, and mobile equipment in a safe and efficient manner, while maintaining the washing system and reporting any deficiencies to their Supervisor. Truck Washers also record and maintain all related information on checklists and washing sheets.

- Wash all company vehicles, trailers, and containers in a safe and efficient manner to meet customer and company standards
- Inspect and report any deficiencies regarding equipment safety
- Ensure equipment is clean, organized and ready to service as required
- Slowly and efficiently move company vehicles, containers, and trailers throughout the site in a safe and controlled manner
- Maintain the high pressure washing system, vacuums, sump pumps, soap hoses and soap sprayer system
- Clean and disinfect surfaces and equipment as required
- Organize the washing procedures of all containers in a priority sequence
- Follow weekly washing checklists and complete daily washing sheets
- Keep the truck wash bay and surrounding areas clean and orderly
- May be asked to safely operate forklifts and other hoisting devices when necessary
- Report any mechanical deficiencies or damage to company vehicles, containers, equipment and trailers to shift supervisor
- Perform shift work based on company business needs which evolve and change in response to customer demands
- Work overtime as instructed to ensure minimal downtime of facilities
- Adhere to the company Code of Conduct and all West Coast Reduction Ltd. policies
- Foster a positive team and company culture by ensuring treatment of others is respectful and aligned with company values
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor
- Possession of a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract
- Possesses strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP practices
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with strong communication skills
- Ability to read or interpret diagrams, schematic drawings and manuals to determine work procedures
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve task related issues
- Ability to frequently move, carry, lift, push and pull equipment up to 100 lbs without assistance and occasionally greater with assistance
- Perform repetitive motions including bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing and reaching overhead above the shoulders daily
- Adaptable to adverse conditions including confined space, heights, cold weather, odours and animal by-products
