ABOUT THE ROLE
Steelway Building Systems is looking for a Truck Loader to join our Shipping & Receiving team on the afternoon shift. In this role, you’ll be responsible for safely and efficiently loading trucks with our steel building products, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timeliness.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Load and secure material onto trucks/trailers using proper blocking and configuration.
- Enter shipping information into required software systems.
- Receive incoming material and verify accuracy.
- Operate shunt truck to move empty and loaded trailers around the property and into loading docks.
- Accurately enter job costing information into the time and attendance system.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure quality products are produced on time and to specifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Education & Knowledge
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of required software systems (Visual, Roll Former Interface, etc.).
- Familiarity with Ministry of Transportation rules and regulations regarding dimensions and weights.
Technical Skills
- Ability to operate a shunt truck.
- Ability to read and interpret bills and drawings.
- Understanding of material requirements and characteristics (thickness, width, sweep, camber, etc.).
Personal Qualities
- Strong organization, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Team player with attention to detail.
- Ability to work afternoon shift (4pm–3am, Monday to Thursday).
