Drivewise Simcoe is growing again! We are seeking two individuals to train for full time in-car instructor positions. Here are the requirements:-
Clean driving record, criminal record check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
Your own car (ideally ten years old or newer.) A MTO safety will be required to start and annually thereafter.
A genuine passion for road safety and a love of teaching.
A warm, supportive personality with a strong emotional IQ.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
You must have held your full G license for a minimum of four years and be 25 years of age or older for insurance purposes.
You must be extremely reliable, punctual and ethical. This position involves long hours without supervision and your must be above-board in everything that you do at all times.
Training will begin September 4th and run for six weeks. Course fees are covered but the time off to take the course is not. This is an ideal situation for someone currently off on leave but not wanting to return to their old job, those who are semi-retired or currently unemployed.
The opportunity to obtain a classroom instructor license will also be available after obtaining your in car license. Our positions are permanent, full time contracts. Instructors manage their own schedules, booking lessons accordingly. We allow you to take three day weekends, extended vacations, etc. Our philosophy is that our team should be treated as well as our own family. We believe in respect, kindness and work-life balance.
