You’ll own a U.S. territory, balancing the growth of current accounts with a hunter’s drive to find fresh business. As the face of Gus* for our retail partners, you’ll be backed by a collaborative crew at HQ who’s just as excited about design as you are.
What you’ll do
· Grow the business: Achieve sales profitability, growth, and account penetration in your assigned U.S. territory/market segment.
· Be relationship-first: Promote, sell, and secure orders from existing and prospective customers using a consultative, relationship-based approach.
· Hit the road (smartly): Travel across the U.S. to grow new business and support current clients with visits and training.
· Build the pipeline: Research and develop prospective customers, evaluate market potential, and create customer value plans that showcase each account, reveal new share opportunities, and chart a path for growth.
· Plan with intent: Organize a personal sales strategy that maximizes your return on time investment.
· Pitch with polish: Craft clear, compelling proposals and presentations for current and prospective partners.
· Team up across Gus*: Coordinate with Marketing, Sales Management, Accounting, Logistics, and Customer Service to deliver a seamless partner experience.
· Stay sharp: Keep current on product applications, technical services, advertising/promotional trends, and industry movements.
· Pitch in: “Other duties as assigned” - we’re a collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves team.
What you bring
· Furniture sales experience is a must. (Minimum 5 years in sales, with furniture industry experience.)
· Post-secondary education is an asset; a combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
· Proven relationship-building, presentation and sales training skills.
· Strong communication (written + verbal), time management, and organization.
· Creative, resourceful, and results-oriented - you think beyond the obvious and sell with style.
· Comfortable working independently and as a team player.
· A good sense of humour and ease in a casual business environment.
Tools & travel
· Proficiency with Microsoft 365 with strong Excel skills.
· Valid driver’s license, credit card, and passport (for U.S. travel).
· Ability to travel to the United States as required.
· This is an in-person role based out of our corporate office near Toronto Pearson Airport.

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
