Job Summary
Fagonex Cooperation Inc., producer of the Sono Mobile™ wireless handheld ultrasound series, is seeking a Technical Ultrasound Specialist to provide expert operational support, training, and technical service for our devices. This role combines advanced ultrasound scanning skills, technical troubleshooting, and customer training, ensuring healthcare professionals achieve the highest-quality imaging results from our products.
The ideal candidate will have full operational knowledge of ultrasound systems, including scanning techniques for both human and veterinary applications, system settings optimization, and hardware/software maintenance. This is a hybrid position, requiring both in-office and remote work, with occasional customer site visits.
Responsibilities
- Perform full-body ultrasound scanning for humans and animals (cats, dogs) to demonstrate device capabilities.
- Train physicians and medical staff on proper probe handling, control settings, and image optimization for best scan results.
- Apply advanced knowledge of ultrasound measurement tools, Doppler, and Pulsed Wave (PW) imaging.
- Configure velocity measurement settings to ensure accurate results without artifacts or errors.
- Provide full device demonstrations for prospective customers, both in-person and online.
- Understand and explain human and veterinary anatomy relevant to ultrasound imaging.
- Create sample scans upon customer request to showcase device capabilities in specific applications.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, including bug fixing, battery replacement, calibration, and ultrasound channel settings.
- Integrate devices with PACS systems for image storage and sharing.
- Engage in technical negotiations with clients, explaining features, configurations, and potential upgrades.
Qualifications
- Proficient in operating and troubleshooting handheld/mobile ultrasound devices.
- Strong understanding of ultrasound imaging principles, measurements, and Doppler applications.
- Skilled in human and small-animal anatomy for scanning purposes.
- Hands-on experience in hardware maintenance (battery replacement, calibration).
- Familiarity with PACS integration and medical imaging workflows.
- Excellent communication skills to train and guide medical professionals.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work model.
- Technical negotiation skills and the ability to translate complex concepts into customer-friendly explanations.
- Driving license
