Salary Range: $69,804 - $87,255 per annum plus comprehensive benefits
What you will do in this role:
Reporting into the Manager of Servicing Connections, Development services, in this role you will coordinate services provided by the Engineering team of the Development Services Division. This includes compiling inputs and maintaining data as it relates to Surveys, CAD and Geographic Information Systems. You will also respond to routine requests for information related to capital construction, subdivision sanitary sewers and water mains.
- Receive, review, and distribute necessary plans and survey information (ex: engineering packages, field analyses and adjustments, and benchmark information) from Internal staff, Local Municipalities, Consulting Engineers, Ontario Land Surveyors, etc. required for site survey approvals
- Liaise with public, local Municipalities, consulting engineers, Ontario Land Surveyors, Contractors, Local Politicians, Regional Staff, and others, as required
- Create Geographic Information Services (GIS) data points for all engineering projects
- Provide quality control/quality assurance and update data as required for development related projects shown on the Region of Peel’s external web map. Update external/internal website information
- Coordinate letter submissions and summarize data for internal use. In addition, coordinate and liaise with external agencies and consultants to obtain information for consultant capital projects
- Performs other duties as required
What the role requires:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma combined with minimum of 1-3 years relevant work experience in civil engineering, planning or construction field.
- Provide technical or professional advice and guidance to other internal contacts
- Coordinate pre-planning and schedule work and prepares submissions for inspection for the commencement of construction work
- Use judgment to identify the most appropriate solution from several options using prior knowledge and experience
- Ability to study/analyze/synthesize information to provide recommendations.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to provide information or advice within the guidelines of an established by-law, program or project
- Use technical or professional skills to work together with others to investigate problems and explore alternative solutions in order to attain specific goals

Work Mode & Job Location: In this role, you'll enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement. This means you'll have the ability to work off-site and on-site as needed, depending on operational needs at the 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton worksite. The frequency of on-site work may vary from week to week, depending on operational demands, which can evolve over time.
It's important to note that your off-site work location must be within the province of Ontario. This ensures that we're compliant with all regulations and policies.
