EveryMind (formerly Peel Children’s Centre) is recruiting for the position of Supervisor, Clinical Services. Reporting to the Manager, Clinical Services, the incumbent will supervise all aspects of the Counselling and Therapy Program, specifically providing clinical leadership and supervision to a team of clinicians who provide counselling and therapy services to youth ages 12 to 25 residing in the Region of Peel.
Under the direction of the Manager, Clinical Services, the incumbent will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and continued development, implementation and evaluation of the Counselling and Therapy Program, from a youth focused service delivery model. The incumbent is responsible for recruitment and supervision of a high functioning team of clinicians providing counselling (virtually and in person) to youth ensuring quality service to clients in keeping with organization’s standards and values. In addition, the incumbent will work collaboratively with other supervisors as part of the larger Management Team, on agency-wide initiatives.
Hiring Salary Range- $86,746 - $101,481 (5 step band over 5 years)

Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight to the development, implementation and maintenance of program specific clinical service models and philosophies.
- Provide clinical supervision to staff in keeping with requirements of the organization and various professional Colleges.
- Discuss the direction of clinical work with clinicians, ensuring individualized clinical assessments and treatment plans are prepared for each client. Oversee the review and regular revision of treatment plans, ensuring adherence by all staff.
- Implement high quality treatment services designed to meet individual needs of clients and their families.
- Provide support & supervision to clinicians offering single session brief service with Tangerine Walk-In Counselling and One Stop Talk/Parlons maintenant
Fiscal and Operational
- Oversee day-to-day operations of program(s) ensuring adequate staffing coverage and scheduling. Responsible for program budget and approval of program expenses.
- Monitor expenses ensuring program expenditures are within assigned budgets.
Staffing
- Hire, train and develop a team of Youth & Family Clinicians to provide high quality service to clients, virtually and in person.
- Assign cases to front line staff evaluating client needs and maintain equitable workloads based on skills and abilities of front-line staff and organizational standards.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of program(s) ensuring adequate staffing coverage, vacation planning and scheduling.
Other
- Ensure compliance with Agency’s reporting, clinical recording, statistics and data entry requirements.
- Responsible for compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety requirements through regular monitoring and evaluation.
- Support and encourage organizational development and best practices in collaboration with other departments in the organization including Human Resources, Finance and Administration, Decision Support, Continuous Improvement and Information Technology.
- Participate as a high functioning member of the Management team and contribute to sector or organizational projects and initiatives.
- Participate in supervisory On-Call roster as scheduled and in compliance with related policies, practices and procedures.
- Provide guidance and direction to employees with respect to policies and procedures and applicable standards, legislation, regulations and guidelines.
- Other related responsibilities.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in social work, Counselling Psychology or other related field with membership in the appropriate regulatory body/College.
- Must meet the requirements to provide clinical supervision to qualifying/registered members of the appropriate regulatory body such as College of Registered Psychotherapists and Ontario College of Social Workers & Social Service Workers.
- Three to five years directly related experience, one of which must have been at a supervisory level.
- Demonstrated passion for working with youth and their resilience with accompanying knowledge of adolescent development and mental health.
- Possess strong knowledge of community resources and mental health services available to youth and young adults within Peel region.
- Demonstrated commitment to positive youth development and principles of youth engagement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to network and develop community partnerships.
- Demonstrated knowledge of clinical assessment/formulation, developmental trauma, attachment, evidence-based/evidence-informed therapeutic modalities including CBT, Motivational Interviewing, EFFT and solution-focused models; group services; family systems.
- Embraces diversity and demonstrated cultural awareness with critical self-awareness and understanding of engagement with the culture of children, youth and families
- Demonstrated formal and informal leadership experience, including membership in internal and external committees, projects and initiatives.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skill in use of the ChYMH Assessment tool and the interpretation of the CAPS scores as part of assessment and treatment planning to oversee quality assurance of the clinical interventions of clinicians.
- Evidence of practical knowledge of relevant legislation pertaining to Child and Youth Mental health is required.
- An understanding of financial accountabilities within the non-profit sector.
- Competence with client database technology and understanding of Decision Support systems.
- Available to participate in on-call schedule overnight and weekends as required.
- Strong skills in report writing, client record documentation and experience with client care information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid Ontario Driver’s license (Class G) and use of a vehicle with a comfort in driving throughout the Peel region and surrounding areas.
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check and Pre-Employment Medical screening (including TB Test, Covid-19 Vaccination, MMR, TD, Polio Vaccination) is required.
