About this opportunity:

The Program Integration team defines and coordinates planning and execution of integrated program scope for multiple business units including Upstream and Conventional. The team is accountable to integrate the various functional teams into a cohesive project team to effectively deliver projects.

You will lead the project team through the entire project lifecycle from origination; working with the Business Opportunity Manager and Scoping Managers to define the project scope, and with multidiscipline project execution teams and enabling functions to define the project design and execution plan ultimately delivering the project that delivers on the business case.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the integrated cross functional, multidisciplined project team with members from across the organization including but not limited to Land, Regulatory, Environment, Well Delivery, Geology, Reservoir, Production, Safety/Security/Emergency Response, Operations, Offsites from scope development through execution

  • Demonstrate strong leadership with the ability to quickly build effective project teams that are working together to deliver on common project goals

  • Accountable to translate business requests into cross functional project plans and schedules within funding and budget guidelines for projects with annual budgets >$200MM

  • Manage and champion the project management framework respecting the project stages and gates and completing the associated deliverables (project plans, risk reviews, management of change, design basis, lessons learned, etc)

  • Coordinate and support the execution teams through execution planning to ensure projects are ready for field execution for safe project completion on time and on budget.

  • Ensure communication and ongoing alignment between project objectives and stakeholder requirements to manage change, resolve issues, identify, and mitigate risks

  • Balance priorities while managing multiple programs involving different stakeholder groups for different assets

  • Prepare and coordinate the development of project approval presentations and documentation for gate reviews, investment committee and project performance meetings for Senior Management and Executive approvals

  • Act as single point of contact and decision maker within approved scope for resolution of key project issues requiring coordination, consolidation, and data analysis

  • Provide direction to project planners and cost advisors to Manage and Report on Scope, Cost, Schedule for assigned projects/programs

  • Work with other program managers and well delivery disciplines to drive consistency, efficiency, and across all well delivery managed or executed scope

  • Implement improved processes where gaps are identified and apply previous project learnings to new projects

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

  • Registered Engineer P.Eng (APEGA, APEGS) or Technologist

  • Minimum 12 years' experience, preferably in Well Delivery execution and/or subsurface

  • Proven leadership in aligning multi-disciplined work groups

  • Strong strategic understanding of company direction and ability to translate goals into team objectives
