Job Description


We are looking for motivated self-starters to come join our team at Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in our Staff Cafeteria “The Bean”. Develop your skills as you interact daily with colleagues and leaders and open the door to endless opportunities with a luxury hotel brand whether you are looking for a future career in Culinary or in Guest Services within Food & Beverage.

Starting Rate: $19.87 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $22.68.

Job Duties Include:

  • Provide professional, friendly service and communicate with the Chef and culinary team to coordinate daily tasks.
  • Assist with light kitchen prep, maintain familiarity with menu items, plate presentations, and staff cafeteria operations.
  • Maintain and replenish prep lists, restock dishes, flatware, trays, condiments, and salad bar items.
  • Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces, sweep and mop floors, and follow ALLSAFE health and safety protocols.
  • Assist cooks as needed, ensure proper production levels, and take on other assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications


Your Skills & Qualifications
:

  • Minimum 6 months of food and beverage experience.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking for long periods.
  • Comfortable working with various kitchen equipment and environments.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and commitment to customer service.
