Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for adventure, content creation, and social media? Basecamp Resorts is looking for a Social Media Lead to bring our brand to life through engaging video content and strategic digital campaigns across multiple platforms. If you're highly organized, video-savvy, and love the idea of working in the hospitality and tourism industry, this could be your dream role.

If you are based in either office, you must be willing to travel for work and have access to your own mode of transportation.
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 yearly
Shifts: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Canmore preferred, but Calgary based will also be considered
Key Responsibilities:
1. Social Media Management & Strategy
- Manage all social accounts including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
- Collaborate closely with the Digital Marketing Manager on monthly and annual social strategies.
- Strategy & Scheduling: Lead the execution of a video-forward content calendar across multiple accounts.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise with internal departments (operations, spa, restaurant) and external partners for shoots, giveaways, and campaigns.
- Plan, create, and edit engaging content daily across all platforms — including stories, 2–3 Reels per week per account, and a monthly Facebook content calendar.
- Repost and optimize content across all social platforms. Current accounts include:

- @bakercreekbybasecamp (Instagram/FB)
- @sundancebybasecamp (Instagram/FB)
- @mtnhousehotel (Instagram/FB)

- Media Library Management: Organize and maintain a clean, up-to-date media library. Coordinate regular photo and video shoots.
- Copywriting & Brand Voice: Write and edit consistent, on-brand captions. Use tools like ChatGPT efficiently for drafting and repurposing content.
- Community Building & Engagement: Cultivate an engaged social community. Interact with followers and non-followers.
- Influencer & Creator Relations: Manage collaborations with influencers and media partners. Maintain and update a creator database.
- Brand Representation: Serve as a public-facing ambassador for Basecamp Resorts in all digital collaborations.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyze monthly and quarterly performance across platforms.
- Research & Insights: Conduct trend analysis and competitive research to identify new content opportunities.
- Work with a data-driven mindset to optimize future content calendars based on performance metrics.
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or Coordinator
- Proficiency in CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar video editing tools
- Comfortable shooting and directing short-form video content
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Diploma in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Strong interest in hospitality, tourism, and storytelling
- Experience managing multiple accounts across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube
- Strong copywriting and content planning skills
- Graphic design skills in Canva or Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator or Figma
- Comfortable coordinating influencer stays and creator partnerships
- Have photography or videography experience
- Know how to boost posts or run basic paid ad campaigns
- Are comfortable on camera or can coach talent for shoots
- Have previous experience in hospitality or hotel operations
