Coach Wanted Advertisement for 2024 - 2025 Season
About Us: Vermilion Skating Club is a skating club located 2 hours East of Edmonton. We host
a variety of programs geared towards supporting an active lifestyle and figure skating. There
could be more hours of coaching available in surrounding clubs.
Requirements: The successful candidate will:
- Be minimum CanSkate trained
- Be CanSkate trained
- Be Regional trained or certified
- Be a Skate Canada registered coach in good standing
- Provide a copy of your coach dashboard
Roles & Responsibilities: 3 days a week to coach at Vermilion. We’re looking for:
CanSkate Coach to share responsibilities with the Head Coach on Monday/Wednesday
A private/group lesson coach needed Monday/Wednesday/Friday.
The successful candidate will:
- Be punctual
- Come prepared to coach
- Keep up-to-date on rules and regulations
- Be willing to work as a team
- Be willing to follow guidelines set out by Skate Canada and the club
- Be available for club events and other club activities
Time Commitment:
Skating Programs:
6.5 hrs of coaching per week, depending on certification status
CanSkate Trained/ Certified – CanSkate, Beginner Figure Skating
Regional Trained – CanSkate, Beginner Figure Skating, Starskate
Regional Certified or higher – CanSkate, Beginner Figure Skating, Starskate
