With a reputation for quality craftsmanship and innovation, we are expanding our team and seeking two (2) Service & Installation Technicians to join us.
Role Overview
As a Service & Installation Technician, you will work hands-on with a wide variety of signage products, including digital displays, illuminated pylon signs, channel letters, and custom fabrication. You’ll be responsible for installations, service, maintenance, and electrical connections, while upholding safety standards and company values.
Responsibilities
· Install, service, and maintain a wide range of signage.
· Perform wiring, assembly, and electrical hook-ups in compliance with UL48 and Ontario safety standards.
· Operate aerial lifts, cranes (<6000 lbs), excavators, augers, and related machinery.
· Conduct on-site troubleshooting and client communication.
· Complete daily logs, reports, and timecards in the company project management system.
· Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and work areas.
· Travel as required for installations and service calls, including trips up to 3+ hours within Southern Ontario using company-provided vehicles.
· Participate in daily schedule meetings, ongoing training, safety meetings, and industry certifications.
· Conduct daily activities professional within a team environment
Qualifications
· Valid G-class driver’s license with a minimum of 5 years’ driving experience.
· Must have valid, current Working at Heights & Aerial Lift Platform training.
· Minimum 3 years of experience in construction or commercial maintenance.
· Physically able to work outdoors year-round, lift up to 75 lbs, and perform at heights up to 200 ft.
· Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and electrical aptitude.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Compensation & Benefits
· Starting wage: $20 to $25/hour, with weekly pay.
· Benefits package (50/50 employer/employee cost share) available after 3 months.
· Standard hours: 39.5 hours/week, Monday–Friday, Overtime up to and above 44 hours.

Day-to-Day Operations
· As a Service & Installation Technician at Signature Sign & Image, your workdays will be dynamic, hands-on, and varied. Each morning begins with a team huddle to review the day’s schedule, safety protocols, and project requirements. From there, your tasks may range from new installations and site surveys to service calls and removals of existing signage.
A typical day may include:
· Loading signage components and equipment safely for transport to job sites.
· Assembling and testing signage prior to installation.
· Traveling to various locations across the Niagara Region and Southern Ontario.
· Removing old signage and preparing sites for new installations.
· Measuring properties and surveying site conditions for future signage projects.
· Using power tools to drill holes, mount signage, and complete structural fastening.
· Wiring LED lighting and completing electrical connections in compliance with UL48 and Ontario safety standards.
· Operating lifts, aerial platforms, and cranes to safely install signs at height.
· Cleaning, organizing, and maintaining vehicles, tools, and shop work areas.
· Documenting completed work through reports, timecards, and photos in the project management system.
· Communicating with clients and team members to ensure expectations are met.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Education:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)
Experience:
