Duties
- Keeping the tools fix and maintained.
- Small repairs of snakes, jackhammers, concrete saws, flushers etc.
- Managing the fleet.
- Batteries, oil changes, light bulbs, fuses etc.
- Dump trailer inspections/ maintenance.
- Ensuring small repairs are done in house.
- Taking the vehicles to the mechanic for big repairs and scheduling them in with dispatch for the best day to do so.
- Perform truck and trailer work.
- Run heavy equipment such as excavator, skid steer, scissor lift, boom lift, Dump trailer etc.
- Deliver of materials and equipment.
- Able to help with plumbing service calls. (Second set of hands)
- Maintain an effective communication with admin staff and customers.
- Able to work on-call.
- Perform emergency callouts OT/DT.
- Must be able to perform manual labor tasks.
- Follow up with admin staff regarding maintenance task.
- Complete the jobs in an efficient reasonable time.
- Perform task to company standards.
- Keep work vehicle clean and organized.
- Treat company gear with the best care possible.
- Cultivate strong relationships with other technicians and customers.
- Respond to emails in a timely manor.
- Must be respectful around the workplace.
- Must work well with others.
- Answering phone calls after hours.
- Know when to make your own decisions or ask for assistance.
- Fill out completion notes daily on service fusion.
- Update ADP (daily payroll tracking)
- Proven experience in Health and Safety roles
- Knowledge of local safety regulations and best practices
- Safety Training and awareness programs
- Incident investigation and reporting
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey safety information to diverse audiences.
- Experience in training development, including the creation of engaging training materials.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks and implement effective solutions.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
This is a starting wage for the first year of employment. Once you get a feel of the role and jobs are running smoothly, increase in wage can be discussed after.
