Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our dynamic team at our dealership. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between customers and the service department, ensuring that all service needs are met with professionalism and efficiency. This role requires strong communication skills, a passion for customer service, and a solid understanding of automotive repair processes.
Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival at the service department.
- Assess customer needs by listening to their concerns and providing appropriate solutions.
- Schedule service appointments and manage the workflow of the service department.
- Provide detailed explanations of services needed, including upselling additional services when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, including cash handling for payments.
- Collaborate with mechanics and technicians to ensure timely completion of services.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any further needs.
- Stay informed about dealership promotions, new products, and automotive technology trends.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an automotive service environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on building relationships.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive repair processes.
- Proven ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining customer trust.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- A background in sales is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Nexpart, Prodemand, Repairlink is an asset but not required.
