Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Host/Server to join our team in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills and have a passion for providing an outstanding dining experience. This role involves welcoming guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that all guests feel valued and well cared for.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, to enhance the guest experience.
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining guest satisfaction.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic math for processing payments.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Maintain sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred, particularly in fine dining settings.
- Familiarity with OpenTable for reservations is a plus.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food handling practices is beneficial.
- Strong time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks during busy shifts.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest relations and customer service.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing are essential.
