Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality service, taking orders accurately, and providing timely food and beverage service.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system, preferably Micros POS.
- Provide menu recommendations and upsell items to enhance the dining experience.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food handling guidelines.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred, with a strong understanding of restaurant operations.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing tabs effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is essential.
