How will you make an impact in this role?
This is a high-impact opportunity to lead the oversight and governance of Third-Party Partners (TPPs) in Canada. The Senior Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Code of Conduct for the Payment Card Industry in Canada for Downstream participants, driving strategic partner enablement, and collaborating across Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Business Enablement teams. This role is critical to maintaining trust, transparency, and operational excellence across our acquiring partner ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance & Governance
- Lead the communications and process for annual attestation, semi-annual complaints reporting and policy reviews for TPPs (Downstream Participants as defined by the Code) ensuring alignment with Code of Conduct requirements.
- Interpret and implement regulatory changes into actionable oversight frameworks and partner engagement strategies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal audit and regulatory inquiries related to TPP compliance.
Partner Oversight & Risk Management
- Collaborate with the Partner Managers & Merchant Acquisition for their respective Partners.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of third-party relationships, categorized by risk exposure and automation level 2.
- Partner with the TPP Oversight team to monitor and report on partner performance metrics (e.g., LIF, ALIF, activation rates) to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Collaborate with Risk and Legal to assess and mitigate operational and reputational risks.
Strategic Enablement & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Represent Canada in global compliance forums and contribute to enterprise-wide governance initiatives.
- Liase and participate as part of cross-functional “deal teams” to address complex enablement requirements and negotiate partner-specific solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or partner governance.
- Deep understanding of Canadian payment regulations and third-party oversight frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience with enterprise compliance systems and audit readiness.
