About the Finance Team
Our Finance organization is essential to Wealthsimple's success, providing critical financial oversight, strategic guidance, and operational support across the business. The team ensures we maintain fiscal responsibility while enabling growth and innovation. Working closely with leadership across the company, Finance helps translate our ambitious vision into sustainable business practices.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer you will serve as a Senior Executive Assistant providing comprehensive support to both the CFO and the broader Finance leadership team. You will also provide supplemental support to C-suite, as needed. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities. You'll be responsible for ensuring smooth operations of key Finance meetings, managing executive calendars and supporting critical Finance initiatives. This is a 12 month contract with the possibility for extension.
In this role you'll have the opportunity to:
- Coordinate, organize and help lead weekly and monthly Finance meetings, such as Coffee Chats, All-Hands and Leadership team meetings
- Manage comprehensive calendar support for the CFO, including scheduling weekly syncs with Finance directs, M-Team members, and other key stakeholders
- Process expenses, ensuring timely submission and approval
- Support the planning and execution of events such as the Finance Fall Takeover
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience supporting executives at a senior level
- A collaborative and open approach to communication: you are experienced in delivering clear, concise and solution-focused messages, that are easily understood by a cross-discipline team
- Discretion when handling sensitive and confidential financial information
- Experience supporting operations across multiple office locations
- Exceptional organizational and project management capabilities with the ability to manage complex meeting cadences and calendars
- Proficiency with collaborative tools including Google Workspace, calendar management systems, and expense tools
