Full-Time Staff Scheduler

Position Summary
Queens Manor is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Full-Time Scheduler. The Scheduler is responsible for creating and maintaining accurate staff schedules that ensure appropriate staffing levels across all departments. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills to effectively coordinate shifts, manage staff availability, and respond to last-minute scheduling changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly staff schedules in accordance with operational needs and union agreements.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels are met for all shifts, including coverage for vacations, sick leave, and other absences.
- Communicate schedule changes promptly and professionally to staff and the Director of Care.
- Maintain accurate records of staff availability, time off requests, and shift swaps.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing requirements and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Utilize scheduling software to input and manage schedule data.
- Monitor attendance and report concerns to management as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business administration, human resources, or a related field is an asset.
- Previous experience in staff scheduling, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and scheduling software (e.g., SSC)
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and professional approach.

Job Type: 80 hours bi-weekly
